Critical thinking is the art of analyzing and evaluating an idea to improvise it. Instead of accepting "at face value," what you read or hear, critical thinkers look for evidence and good reasons to believe it. This is at the heart of what it means to be a scientist, researcher, scholar, or professional in any field. Whatever you are studying, critical thinking is the key to learning and to make progress..
Question words – “What, Who, Where, When, How, and Why” will help the learner to get started, along with the phrases – “What if, What next, and So what.” Attempting description, analysis and evaluation.
Teachers and parents, it is our responsibility to motivate, inspire, and guide children to cultivate 'Critical Thinking.'
As a well-cultivated 'Critical Thinker,' children will raise vital questions, formulating them clearly and precisely, gather and assess relevant information and interpret it effectively, come to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, think open-mindedly with alternative systems of thought and communicate effectively with others in figuring out solutions to complex problems. This entails 'Effective Communication and Problem Solving Abilities', which is indeed the need of the hour.

Ms. Padma Kolli Director, Academics of Vikas Group of Schools is a passionate educator with rich experience in CBSE and CAIE curriculum. Inspired by her family of academicians, and her passion towards literacy and learning for children in their early years made her choose to be part of the educational system. She spearheads the curriculum development, incorporating cognitive skills and social & emotional skills involving Activity-Based Curriculum, Competency Based Learning, Art-Integrated Projects, Inquiry Based Learning, Multidisciplinary Approach and 21st Century Skills.
As an academician, she shows a strong inclination towards teacher professional development, which is a continuous process that promotes teachers(educators) teaching skills, master new knowledge and develop new proficiency, which in turn, helps improve student's learning. She is a people’s person and has managed teams and conducted training programs for teams across the globe.
As a passionate learner, she constantly upgrades herself through professional development courses from leading universities across the world. She has professional training in Assessment for Learning, Active Learning Strategies, Lesson Planning, Cambridge Educational Leadership and Pedagogical Leadership from the University of Florida and University of California San Diego.
As a tech-savvy educator and a firm believer in innovation and adaptation, she believes in empowering her learners with the new-age skills making them smart millennials rather than only knowledgeable adults.
She has also done her Executive Management Programme in the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
